Purpose of life / Meaning of life / Bliss

What the fuck is the purpose of life? Asking this question over and over again? Still at the beginning of "I have no clue"? Of course you are because you keep asking instead of living. Questioning is ok as long as you don’t get stuck in diving deep into the matter without ever getting back to the surface. You practically drown yourself with questions instead of enjoying what is. We always think that somewhere else we'd be more happy. Western Europeans dream of living on a beautiful ever-warm island with an amazing sunset behind palm trees and just chilling there on the beach whereas the people from the same island dream of a stable structured life in Western Europe with a BMW or Mercedes.

Ok, this is just a messy beginning to mess more with our minds but here are my other two cents on what I actually wanted to tell you:
Don’t search for happiness. Search for bliss. Truth is that there is no one who is happy all the time. Feeling sad is human, and being human is pretty great. My own formula for bliss equals peace of mind and joy. I find joy in being alive, whether sad or happy. Emotions show me that I truly live.  Peace of mind I get by accepting who I am. Good and bad. The important thing in life is to find one’s own purpose. Everyone in this world has a higher purpose that one needs to serve. You don't have to be world-famous or rich in order to be special (these people can be the loneliest people in the world btw), you just need  to do something that you love doing. Dedication. There is a difference between the words "job" and "work". When you find out what it is that you need to do here then you will find meaning in life. Oh yeah, how can one find out? The greatest secret. Stand still, pray, meditate, let go all the bullshit that is around you, all the heavy weight that you have been collecting since you entered the adult world. Get rid of the fear. This is what holds you back. Fear is what keeps you away from getting to meet your innerself and finding your purpose of being.

Be Bob, the nice guy who cleans the streets. Otherwise the world would be dirty. What a great purpose. Maybe he will want to own one day his own cleaning company if he really loves cleaning and keeps on being an honest man who you can trust in. People will value that and come back. Be Emilia, who serves in a restaurant so some couples can eat outside and celebrate their love. What a great purpose. Maybe she will want to own her own restaurant one day if she loves serving good drinks or food with a smile. People will value that and come back. For Bob and Emilia it is not about the money, but it is about becoming rich with some friends, rich with experiences, rich with wisdom,  rich with the passion for what they do. Be yourself and find that love within yourself. If you don’t like what you do, remember that it might only be a stop during your journey towards finding your purpose of life. Stop worrying about it and enjoy it as life is in the here and now and that’s all we have for the moment.

Nick, who was born without arms and hands enjoys his life. He has found his purpose of life - inspiring others to overcome their fears:

The conscient search itself is part of your journey and therefore already included in the purpose of life. Finding enlightment doesn't come at a certain age. It hits us when we are ready. (P.S.: Once it does, we will also know which place & people are right for us to live in and with.)

Aşk olsun (let it be love),
Yilmaz

  1. Sen çok yaşa emi? :) This is great. We hear similar things everywhere, or sometimes we make them up in our own minds to console ourselves, but above you put them in a nice order. Happiness, acceptance, peace of mind... I think I have found my peace of mind by giving up struggling for the things which are not under my control. I let it be, let the life be as how it is supposed to be. And this feels perfect. I wish everyone can experience this feeling before they die because then one can understand that this life is worth living.
